New Incentive for Routine and Manual Workers
As a service, we are committed to reducing health inequalities across County Durham. Our research shows that people in certain job occupations, such as routine and manual working, are more likely to smoke.
As a result, we have new funding to introduce a financial incentive for routine and manual workers where they can earn up to £120 for quitting smoking! This will be in the form of vouchers increasing in amounts as the individual progresses throughout their quit journey, being rewarded at their initial appointment, 4 weeks smoke free, and 12 weeks quit. This will launch on the 1st of October as a pilot scheme until the 31 of December 2024.
